Embark on a delightful journey into the world of French Macarons with our fun workshop, designed with beginners in mind.
In this hands-on class, you will learn step-by-step how to achieve the perfect macaron shell, practicing the technique of mixing and folding. The classic ‘Gerbert’ or ‘Paris Macaron’ is a French meringue-based almond sandwich cookie. The celebrated original tea shop Ladurée on the Champs-Elysees in Paris is given credit for the invention of the classic French-style filled macaroon. However the cookies themselves are thought to have actually originated in Italy during the Renaissance. Their name comes from the Italian word “maccherone” meaning fine dough.

Meet Chef Su, a pastry chef from the East Village, whose culinary journey has been a labor of love. Without formal culinary training, Su has dedicated four delightful years to perfecting his craft and delighting customers with his creations. In his cozy kitchen, Su’s creativity knows no bounds.
Guest requirement
Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking and check in. The nature of our classes is set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.
At this time, alcoholic drinks are NOT allowed onsite but this could change in the next few weeks. You are welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy throughout class.
To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+.
The market offers discounted parking fees with validation. There are validation machines near the entrance to the parking lot. 30 min – 1 hour is $2.00 with validation. Time in excess of 1 hour will be charged the regular parking rates as posted at the parking lot doors.
Cancellation policy
The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, likely working with 2-3 other students, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed.
